St Elizabeth Hospice

All day, every day, St Elizabeth Hospice is there for people from East Suffolk who need their help and support.

The focus of care is quality of life. Care is centred around an individual's needs, which means competent, compassionate, specialist support, wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice.

St Elizabeth Hospice helps people who have an illness from which they will not recover deal with pain, anxiety and fatigue, as well as offering practical advice and family support.

In all their variety, the deckchair canvases which have been painted for the hospice reflect the diversity of people who benefit from its service. More than that, the quality of the collection reflects the excellence of the care St Elizabeth Hospice aims to provide for patients, their families and carers.

As well as the in-patient unit, the wide range of services of St Elizabeth Hospice embraces an out-patient clinic, day-care services, a Hospice at Home service and a family support team.

The hospice is an independent charity. It costs £6.6 million a year or £13 a minute to run. St Elizabeth Hospice relies heavily on public support, donations and fund-raising to meet these costs. All of its services are provided free of charge to patients, families and carers in East Suffolk. The launch of Suffolk Coastal Deckchairs represents a unique opportunity to support St Elizabeth Hospice in a creative and enduring way.
