Welcome to Suffolk Coastal Deckchairs

Suffolk Coastal Deckchairs is a fund-raising art event featuring over 40 of the most exciting deckchairs you will ever see. The spectacular collection is on display at a number of locations throughout East Suffolk from April to September 2010 before going on sale to raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice.

We are extremely grateful to all the participants who have generously contributed to the Suffolk Coastal Deckchair collection. They have demonstrated how art can help encourage people to understand, appreciate and benefit from the work of St Elizabeth Hospice. Their work for the Suffolk Coastal Deckchair collection is exciting, stimulating and thought-provoking.

The hospice is an independent charity. It costs £6.6 million a year or £13 a minute to run. St Elizabeth Hospice relies heavily on public support, donations and fund-raising to meet these costs. All of its services are provided free of charge to patients, families and carers in East Suffolk. The launch of Suffolk Coastal Deckchairs represents a unique opportunity to support St Elizabeth Hospice in a creative and enduring way.
